The New Samsung Mobile Phone: OMNIA

Samsung OMNIA is possibly the best ever smartphone that Samsung has ever built. OMNIA is definitely a better name than SGH-i900, which means ‘everything’ in Latin and ‘wish’ in Arabic. The OMNIA is essentially everything that you can possibly wish for on a Windows Mobile 6.1 smart phone. It brings together high performance business content, high-end design mixed with a full bag of dynamic multimedia rich experience.

The Samsung OMNIA is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and comes packed with MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word). Even though the OMNIA is 100% touch screen, Samsung included an optical mouse for ease of navigation - the optical mouse is similar to what you’d find on laptops.

Also included on the OMNIA is a 5-megapixel CMOS camera with auto-focus (AF), face and smile detection and auto-panorama shot. OMNIA comes in 8 or 16GB memory configuration and additional storage can be added via extendable slot. Of course, a smart phone called OMNIA can’t go without having a GPS, including navigation and geo-tagging capabilities, so you’d never get lost wherever you are.

As I mentioned earlier, the OMNIA is primarily touch-based so it makes perfect sense for Samsung to include its patented TouchWiz user interface. The OMNIA is Samsung’s first ever Windows Mobile smart phone to feature TouchWiz. TouchWiz lets you personalize the home window with unique widgets. The high-resolution touch-sensitive screen uses intuitive tap, sweep, drag and drop operations as well as an on-screen QWERTY keyboard. It also facilitates easy and convenient calling and texting with a dedicated dome key for controlling communications.

The Samsung OMNIA is ultra-slim measuring 12.5mm and has a platinum look finish. Samsung added details such as elegant hairline patterns on the back of the phone to bring the “perfection in style.”

Geesung Choi, President of Samsung Telecommunication Business, said: “I am very excited to introduce Samsung , a mobile device that truly delivers the best possible features for today’s busy, connected consumer. Samsung demonstrates our vision for the Samsung mobile business, which is to provide premium phones for users who desire functionality, style, usability and entertainment in one innovative device. The mobile range will help users to be at the forefront of work and play and at the same time, to stay connected anytime, anywhere.”

The new CDMA/GSM Sony Ericsson CyberShot S001 slider, apart from serving as a more than capable compact camera in its own right, also supports 1Seg digital TV which promises to look particularly impressive thanks to the S001’s 3.3″ 854 x 480 resolution OLED display. Additionally the CyberShot S001 naturally comes with DAP/PMP functionality, Bluetooth connectivity and comes with integrated GPS.
Measuring in at 51 x 115 x 17.8mm and weighing 145g, the Sony Ericsson CyberShot S001 camera phone will become available via KIDDI Japan in black, a rather garish gold, green and pink (of course) sometime in March though there’s no word concerning pricing at the time of writing.

Sony Ericsson Idou Touchscreen Mobile Phone

With the launch of Sony Ericsson Idou 12MP Camera Mobile Phone, it is believed that the death of digital camera seems one step closer. With its 12.1 megapixels sensor, it would render the digital cameras obsolete. This mobile phone is all set to compete with Apple iPhone in all aspects. It features a 3.5”widescreen touch sensitive display with a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels. Apart from the remarkable imaging function, it also comes with great music and video playback features.
The other highlights of the phone are Bluetooth, motion sensor (accelerometer), DLNA-certified WiFi, A-GPS, USB 2.0, HSDPA and microSD memory card slot. The user interface of this mobile phone is different from the earlier Sony Ericssson mobile phones and makes it stands out in the crowd. Navigation from one application to another is very rapid. It runs on an all new Symbian platform, the S60 User Interface, that is different from Nokia’s S60 UI and Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. It has lots of remarkable features. Contacts can be customised and your favourite contacts can be viewed quickly.

Sony Ericsson Idou Touchscreen Mobile Phone looks elegant and comes with dimensions of 111 x 54 x 15mm. This is world’s first TWELVE megapixel camphone. So, if you are looking out for a high-end camera, a full-fledged MP3 player and a superb mobile device, then Sony Ericsson Idou Music Mobile Phone is the perfect and sensible choice. Idou is just the codename and not the final name with which it will be marketed. Anyway, I would definitely say “I Do” to this stunning mobile phone.

    Nokia_8800_Sapphire_Arte_1

If you’ve been waiting for a stylish edition from Nokia then here’s chance to celebrate (even if Christmas is still some time away). The Nokia 8800 Arte and 8800 Sapphire Arte are, however, not just about stylish good looks. Using a combination of high-end metal and glass materials, the two new Nokia mobiles sport the same minimalist yet elegant appearance as its predecessors. Dimensions-wise, the new handsets have a larger footprint than the earlier 8800 and weigh more, but also have the slimmest profiles in the 8800 collection so far. This sensual model also promises a 2.0-inch QVGA OLED display, 3.2 megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom, 1GB of built-in memory, MicroUSB all-in-one-connector, an anti-fingerprint coating on the metal and glass, and a leather pouch with linen-lining to keep things tidy. The Nokia 8800 Sapphire Arte adds to the sense of exclusivity by further enhancing its polished steel case with a genuine sapphire gem stone and an accent of soft leather, creating an even richer, sensual feel. And if you are a proud owner of the Nokia 8800 Arte or Nokia 8800 Sapphire Arte, then you will be able to enjoy an exclusive videotrack and soundtrack composed by Kruder & Dorfmeister with visuals by Fritz Fitzke - adding an extra touch of sophistication and individuality to both handsets. You can also make much of an elegantly designed Nokia BH-803 Bluetooth headset with Active Noise Cancellation and touch sensitive volume adjustment.
